A 27-year-old Englishman lost his life whilst swimming in a pool in Triq it-Trunċiera, San Pawl il-Baħar.
Police were informed of the incident at 19:45 pm yesterday and immediately rushed to the scene where it resulted that the man had come into difficulty while swimming.
He was assisted by paramedics until being taken to Mater Dei where he was certified dead shortly after arrival at the hospital.
Dr Donatella Frendo Dimech LL.D has launched a magisterial inquiry to determine the precise cause of death and police investigations remain ongoing at this time. R.I.P
