75% Of Teens Felt Lonely During COVID, 16% Contemplated Suicide


Research conducted by the Richmond Foundation over the last 9 months has shown that 75% of teens aged 16-24 reported feeling deep loneliness throughout the pandemic 😷


Meanwhile those over 65 reported feeling the loneliest they’ve ever felt 😔


16% of those between 16-24 said they contemplated suicide as a result of their isolation. This is even more shocking compared to the 4% registered only last June.


Calls for help to the Richmond foundation increased by 400%, with follow up sessions increasing by 267%.
