Anti-Vaxxers Storm The BBC, But Get The Building Wrong

Anti-vaccine protesters in the UK stormed what they thought was a major BBC building on Monday, unaware that the corporation had moved out of the building almost 10 years ago.

Protestors were targeting the BBC as they believe it is responsible for promoting Covid-19 vaccines. Rather than target the BBC’s news operation, a handful of protesters gained access to the Television Centre in west London, which has been converted into residential apartments since. The studios left are now predominantly rented by ITV to film its daytime shows such as Good Morning Britain and This Morning.

Among the individuals protesting outside was Piers Corbyn, the brother of the former British Labour party leader Jeremy Corbyn.

Police reinforcements and a helicopter were later deployed to the scene, while a smaller group of demonstrators did later march to BBC's current Broadcasting House in central London.
