President Elect Joe Biden has nominated the well loved Maltese-American politician Pete Buttigieg for the top post of Transportation Secretary within his administration 🇺🇸
Buttigieg is seen as a rising star in the Democratic Party and securing this nomination would give him the needed experience should he want to run for president again.
Buttigieg would also be the first LGBTQ candidate nominated to Biden's administration and, should he be confirmed, the first LGBTQ Cabinet secretary to be approved by the Senate 🌈
