Jelle Rijpma, the man who murdered his ex-girlfriend Shannon Mak outside her Santa Venera apartment in early August 2018 has been sentenced to 30 years in prison by a Maltese court.
Mak was found on the floor in a pool of blood with her throat slashed. Rijpma brutally beat her and kicked her before the fatal stabbing.
Jelle Rijpma pleaded guilty to the gruesome murder in October and today was sentenced to 30 years in prison. Rijpma was also fined €116.47 for possessing a knife.
