Man Who Witheld Mother's Cancer Pills For Drug Money Arraigned

A 29-year-old man from Santa Venera has been put before a magistrate following his arraignment on grounds of suspected domestic abuse.

The man, who presented himself to the court as unemployed, is said to have forced his parents to comply with his demands against the threat of physical violence. His demands were primarily oriented around his various debts to loan givers due to his drug habit.

The man is said to have wildly extorted from his parents money and other favours alike all while threatening them and hiding his mother’s cancer medication to use as leverage against them.

Following consultation with his lawyer, he entered a plea of guilt, something the court warned could come with the possibility of imprisonment.
