The official results are now in; Robert Abela’s Labour has won the election by a majority of 39,474 votes over PN.
55.1% of the vote went to Labour, 41.7% to PN and 3.2% to smaller parties.
The Labour Party will secure a 11-seat majority over the Narionalists in parliament as a result.
In 2017, Labour had earned a 35,280 lead, meaning it gained 4,194 votes since the last election.
