The Labour Party has won its third consecutive general election by a forecasted 30,000 votes, sources at the Naxxar counting hall have reported.
Prime Minister Robert Abela claimed the win in an interview with TVM, sparking celebrations which can already be heard in various parts of the island. The 2022 election saw a historically low turnout of 85.5%. An official result will not be known until Monday when all the votes have been counted, but a landslide win for the Labour Party has already been confirmed.
