Yorgen Fenech dreamed of becoming former Italian prime minister and media tycoon Silvio Berlusconi when he was 12 years old, a speech in a school magazine from Fenech’s childhood has shown.
The speech was published in a St Edward’s School magazine and won Fenech first place during a Speech and Drama evening.
Silvio Berlusconi is one of Europe’s most notorious politicians. In the early 2000’s Berlusconi found himself embroiled in corruption scandals, countless court cases, accusations of bribery, defamation and of soliciting minors for sex.
However, at the time Fenech wrote the speech (1993) Berlusconi was still untainted by any political scandal.
