A 9 month old baby was among the five people killed when a car drove at high speed into pedestrians in the German city of Trier today.
The state's interior minister said the driver zig-zagged across the street, with people being tossed into the air.
A 51-year-old driver, who was born in Trier, has since been arrested and his silver Land Rover seized.
Police said there was currently no evidence of a political or religious motive, while a prosecutor said the suspect was drunk and may have been suffering from mental illness.
