A destroyed GoTo vehicle was found abandoned in a field between Nadur and Xewkija in the area known as Ta' Xħajma Gozo earlier today.
Police became informed of the incident at 5 am on Saturday morning.
A spokesperson for the police confirmed with SideStreet that a car had crashed into a boundary wall and ended up in a field but informed this newsroom that after being called onto the scene they found “no driver accompanying the vehicle”.
“Police investigations are currently underway and we are in the process of identifying and locating the driver of the car” the spokesperson continued.
Asked for a comment the GoTo company told SideStreet that they are “working closely with the police” to identify the driver.
