UPDATE: Johnston Lied About Ex-Partner's Death Before Nicolette

Edward Johnston, a 50-year-old Irishman from Dublin, has recently drawn significant attention following a violent murder in Malta.

Johnston allegedly murdered his former partner, Nicolette Ghirxi, and was subsequently shot dead by Maltese police during a confrontation.

Before his fatal encounter in Malta, Johnston had a history of problematic relationships and online harassment. He was previously involved with Morven Julie Pollock, who was reported to be his ex-partner and the mother of the child in his profile photo.

Pollock passed away from cancer in December 2021 at the age of 43. Her death prompted a wave of community support, including a successful fundraiser organised by her rugby team, which raised £7,500 to honor her memory.

Despite the outpouring of support for Pollock, Johnston exploited her death. On social media, he falsely claimed that her passing was the result of violence orchestrated by the Irish mafia and linked it to his own criminal activities.

These baseless accusations were debunked by SideStreet, revealing that Pollock’s death was due to cancer, not foul play.

This marks the second time that Johnston accused a woman online along with other charges that he had, however the Maltese police allegedly convinced Nicolette Ghrixti to not take a risk assessment.
