Police Ready To Take Action Against Yorgen Fenech's Lawyers Attempted Bribe
Updated: Dec 17, 2020
Maltese police are expected to press charges against at least one of the lawyers representing murder suspect Yorgen Fenech, a report from Newsbook has unveiled.
This comes after The Times of Malta had revealed that Gianluca Caruana Curran, one of Fenech’s lawyers had attempted to hand around €1,000 to journalist Ivan Martin in return for favorable coverage on his client.
Caruana Curran admitted that “remuneration was offered” but said that the journalist led him to understand that he could use his services to help neutralise the bias in the media reporting.
