Matthew Caruana Galizia is currently testifying in court over the murder of his mother and murdered journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia. A document submitted by Matthew contains a note by Daphne Caruana Galizia from 27 April 2017. His mother took note of outstanding matters she had to investigate. "If my mother hadn't been murdered, of course, all those articles would have been published. Of course, what happened is that a lot of them were published after the murder," Caruana Galizia said as he testified in court.

Matthew Caruana Galizia said he didn’t trust authorities based on the knowledge that the deputy commissioner was known to be friendly with Yorgen Fenech.
