Balluta Barracudas F.C. Update Their Badge In Memory Of Julian Spiteri

Balluta Barracudas FC has updated their club badge in honour of Julian Spiteri who sadly passed away in a tragic car crash last April.

“In lasting memory of Julian Spiteri, we have incorporated two eternal flames in honour of his legacy, symbolising the upholding of our promise to remember him forever,” the club said as they unveiled their new badge.

Shortly after the news of Spiteri’s passing, the Barracudas paid tribute to the 19-year-old’s “charm, wit, compassionate nature, intelligence and do it all approach to life”, saying he would “never be forgotten”.

Julian Spiteri’s mother Nadia Spiteri Piscopo said the family was ‘truly humbled’ by the ‘lovely gesture’. “As I always say he was lucky to have friends like you, who have also been of great support to us. Forever in our hearts Julian xxx”

What do you make of the club’s gesture?
